Overview

Imagine this: the TECH conference (Transforming Education Conference for Humanity) organized by UNESCO, and I’m tasked with conducting an interactive lecture using Futuro Cards for hundreds of participants.

Sounds like mission impossible? Not for me!

Main objectives

Digitize and scale:

Creating a digital version of my card game

Running the game simultaneously for several hundred participants (Apparently, the organizers decided that traditional lectures were too… boring?)

Comprehensive preparation which looked like planning an invasion

Training an army of volunteers

Designing an engaging digital experience

Crafting presentation storytelling accessible to diverse cultural contexts

The results

A standing ovation (probably not out of relief that it’s over), invitations to schools in India, and a bonus workshop at the UNESCO MGIEP office in Delhi.

Main reflection

That was one of the most challenging projects I’ve faced so far. But after a while, I think that sometimes all it takes is a bit of madness, lots of coffee, and a touch of luck for an educational revolution to become reality.

Who would have thought that cards could become part of it?
