Overview

A meeting on the future of human-machine interaction. The event took place in a unique location – the Apple Museum, which at that time was a hobby project of the owner, collecting old computer models in his garage.

As a researcher, I value a holistic approach to analyzing phenomena, reaching into their historical roots.

This approach allows for understanding the full dynamics of a field’s development. In the case of speculating about the future of human-machine interaction, a thorough understanding of the evolution of this field over the years proved to be crucial.

During the meeting, we focused on analyzing the historical development of user interfaces, current technological trends, and potential directions for development.

We considered how new technologies, such as brain-computer interfaces, augmented reality, or haptic systems, could influence future forms of interaction.

This unique combination of retrospection from a place full of computer history and futuristic considerations created an inspiring atmosphere for discussing how our future relationships with technology might look, but more importantly how we want to to enrich us, as society.
